The Unveiling of Mental Floss

Please join us at an opening reception to unveil Mental Floss, a sculpture representing the magnificent complexity of the mammalian brain. The work is a collaborative effort between Alice Quatrochi, a recent graduate of George Mason University’s BIS program, and Giorgio Ascoli, a University Professor of Neuroscience at Mason’s Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study, along with intern Alex Giller and doctoral student Todd Gillette. The sculpture is the result of a SOFAlab project generously funded by the Center for Consciousness and Transformation. The artists/authors will be attending and additional related work will also be on display.
